A big Thank You to this sub from this rapidly aging Redditor (53M) Posted: 15 Nov 2020 02:28 PM PST Hey. I just wanted to thank this sub for the incredible amount of information, rare pics and all in all awesome content and motivation that I've gotten from r/bodybuilding. in the past year or two. It's really helped me get back into some decent shape. Not bad for 53 anyhow. I feel great. Also, you all are fucking hilarious but I'm amazed at the knowledge of nutrition, programs etc... found here. I was also the 'white t-shirt guy' from the beginning of this year on this sub if anyone gives a fuck. I've been lifting since about 1985 in Toronto, Canada. I joined the Golds Gym there when I was 14. At the time, it was the best gym in Canada and ALL the WWF guys trained there when they were in town. Andre The Giant (that head was massive), Big John Studd (also a huge fucking dude), Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff, Ric Flair, Angelo Mosca, Greg Kovacs (Dude always looked like he was dying), Nimrod King (what a name) Jean Claude Van Damme, lotsa pros of the day, you name it. It was the mecca of Toronto back in the day, that's for sure. The waterfountains flowed D-ball I think. I was also friends with Robert Kennedy and the MuscleMag International staff as the magazine was originally printed near my house in Brampton, Ontario. Used to see Trish Stratus and Vicky Pratt there. Gary Bartlett (photographer), the main writer Greg (forget his last name), Stacey Lynn also managed the MuscleMag store near Dixie Mall in Mississauga for a while as well. Also, the original manager of the flagship MuscleMag store was the guy that started Muscletech. He did pretty fucking well for a young dude. Anyhow, thanks again. Fucking love this sub.
