    Reps needed for hypertrophy

    Posted: 15 Nov 2020 05:49 AM PST

Why does the rep range matter? If it´s about creating muscle tears isn´t it irrelevant as long as you got to failure/ almost failure? Like why would it matter if you do 8 to 12 biceps curls instead of 100 really light bicep curls if you are going to failure on both? I think the rep range is irrelevant tbh

    Replacement for squats

    Posted: 15 Nov 2020 06:47 AM PST

Hello people i joined reddit for posting this post

I am about to run jonnie candito linear progression program

BUT I have always had problem with squats when I squat (while going down) the bar and weights leans towards left side of my body SAME PATTERN Happens to Bench Press and pus ups

I think I have tightness either on hips or on scapula

What are you're suggestions and opinions on my problem

I replaced my squats with bulgarian split squat (is it good? ) I am still thinking of bench replacement (your suggestions required)

Is there any other reddit groups where I can post above problem

    Thanks in advance

    How do you monetize bodybuilding?

    Posted: 15 Nov 2020 08:00 AM PST

I'm 19 working in the trades but bodybuilding and fitness is my passion. What are some ways I can monetize it so I can work in something I love? Thanks.

    IGF-1 and bodybuilding

    Posted: 15 Nov 2020 07:57 AM PST

Have you guys noticed any difference when you consume more dairy or casein rather than none at all your gains seem to differ?

It definitely seems that a higher rather than lower igf-1 count would be more beneficial for bodybuilding related goals.

    Arnold’s posing wasn’t the greatest?

    Posted: 14 Nov 2020 09:37 PM PST

I look at videos of him posing and it was no where near as fluid or as impressive as Mike Mentzer or Frank Zane.

    Mike Mentzers posing from 1980:

    https://youtu.be/DNd87E6dGco

    Arnold's posing from 1980:

    https://youtu.be/x9TYArgUaoc

Also, i don't see how Arnold could've won the 1980 Mr Olympia, from what i've seen Mike Mentzer clearly had the most proportioned and impressive physique aswell as insanely fluid and legendary posing.

    Does anyone else agree?

p.s I'm not hating on Arnold at all, i think he is a legendary bodybuilder but Mike Mentzer seems to be a better poser and have a better physique at the time.

    Mentzer's Physique Today?

    Posted: 15 Nov 2020 01:08 AM PST

How good/bad would Mike Mentzer's physique be by today's standards? More specifically, how good/bad are his genetics compared to today's competitors?
