    Struggling to learn muscle ups?

    Posted: 15 Nov 2020 04:00 AM PST

Hello guys I've been wanting to learn to do muscle ups. I've watched a few videos and tried but I'm struggling in the transition part from the top of the pull up if u get me.

I can currently do about 15< wide grip pull ups in a set so would like to think I have.the strength to manage a muscle up.

    Anyone got any advice?

I run out of breath after 3 30second exercises, this normal?

    Posted: 15 Nov 2020 12:09 AM PST

So, I'm a 6'1 skinny male (28" waist) and I do very little physical activity outside of constant walking around at work (easy 12-15k steps a day) although I've downloaded an app called "Seven - seven minute workout" and after just 3 30 second exercises I'm left gasping for air. Not sure if it's because I'm unfit or if there could be another reason?

Cannot eat even at maintenance after long cut

    Posted: 15 Nov 2020 03:36 AM PST

For context, I have been cutting for almost a year since I was pretty fat back then. I'm 5'7 and currently at 58 kg and I want to start bulking some. However, it seems that I get full eating my cutting calories and have trouble even getting enough calories to be at maintenance. Could I have any sort of disorder or problem or is this normal? Should I increase my calories slowly or use weight gainers or something?

I don't feel weak or anything during cutting but I just feel so stuffed when trying to put more food in.

He is an all around badass.

An amazing dude, i think you guys will appreciate him. I will let his youtube speak for itself:

Disclaimer: If you dont consider yourself a badass then dont try doing his workouts. Because they litteraly destroy you.

    Does strength training bulk legs?

    Posted: 15 Nov 2020 02:40 AM PST

I'm male and can gain muscle a bit more easily than others, I've managed to lose about 11kg and now have a bmi of 19.5 at 60.5kg , my goal weight is 58kg. Lately I've not been doing any sort of strength training for my legs and have just been doing cardio all week (mainly jogging) and my legs seem to have slimmed down a bit, but I don't think I'm going to make much progress by losing that last 2.5kg. One of my friends squats and still has pretty slim legs and sits at a lower weight than me. When I was strength training I was using the r/bodyweightfitness recommended routine and for the legs I did the single legged deadlifts and Bulgarian split squats, I did 3 sets of 8 reps. I'm thinking of doing strength training again and incorporate a leg day but I'm also scared that my legs may bulk up. Should I just stick to endurance cardio or should I give strength training another go?

How do I improve my push-pull-legs routine while still being able to cycle it twice a week?

    Posted: 14 Nov 2020 09:59 PM PST

So I have a pretty solid workout plan going for push, pull, legs and I am an advanced lifter. I repeat ppl twice a week so mon-wed and thurs-sat because as far as I know the science says that for optimal muscle growth you should be training your muscles twice a week. I've been making steady progress in my lifts training this way but I find it hard to fit in abs besides side workouts at the end of leg day. My workouts for each day are fairly extensive and pretty taxing meaning I am usually pretty fatigued by the end of my workouts. I want to incorporate an 'ab day' into my week without cutting into my regular ppl, but it seems that would require either a 4 day routine which couldn't be done twice a week or doing abs on wednesday and legs on friday which would mean I am only training those muscles once a week. Does anyone know how I could incorporate abs into my ppl without jeopardizing a twice a week program and still fitting in a rest day. Thanks

Can not eating in surplus in your first 4 or so months of lifting hurt future gains?

    Posted: 14 Nov 2020 09:51 PM PST

Basically, I didn't eat enough to gain any weight in my first 4 or so months of lifting.

Will this hurt my future gains?

Can I still make newb gains if I start eating in a surplus now?
