Mandatory Pose Wednesday - Side Chest Posted: 22 Jul 2020 07:06 AM PDT Welcome back to another installment of MPW! Were hitting Side Chest today. 1) Lower body start! Face the side, then put the ball of the outside foot (the one that faces the audience) into the instep of the inside foot. Spike the outside toe flexing the calf. Drag your outside leg across your inside leg to elongate the muscles, then put your inside knee behind your outside knee into your hamstring, and squish both legs together as you sit into the stance. This is what gives that freaky hamstring look from the side. It is actually the other leg in the back that is making the muscles "pop" by squishing it out. 2) Scoop your rear pec with your rear bicep. Squish and flex the bicep into the side of the pec, this will help make it appear bigger, and bring out some striations. 3) Grab the wrist of your outside arm with an over top grip, make a fist with the outside hand, palm up. 4) Brace tightly with your inside arm, while making a movement to "pull away" with the outside arm. This will force everything in the outside arm to flex, from your shoulders right down to your forearms. This will also help to bring out the rear delt, which will make the shoulder appear larger, and fuller. 5) Rotate your torso and half face the judges while keeping the legs pointed straight ahead. Smile! Examples: Franco with that hard 'mire of Arnold Chris Bumstead getting coached by Steve Weinberger What we're here for: Critique the pose, not the poser Everybody is welcome to participate, this aint mirin mondays so dont worry about the status of your bulk or cut. We are here to improve. Every pose can be hit in more than one fashion. Individual criticisms tailored to the posters physique are absolutely welcome! [link] [comments] |
