- What's the consensus on the stomach vacuum technique for building a strong postural core? Would you deem it: useless/useful/necessary?
- What are exercises that workout your abs (even if just indirectly) but not your obliques? If you're more than happy with your oblique size already, and you want them smaller but your abs maintained at current size?
- Why do you think flex wheeler never won a Mr. Olympia in the 90s? Perfect shape, aesthetic, mass and perfect condition. For me much better than dorian and king Ronnie.

To those who were alive to see the 1998 Olympia Posted: 19 Apr 2020 09:30 PM PDT How crazy was it seeing Ronnie Coleman turn into that? What were the reactions? I'm just curious since I sadly didn't get to witness it [link] [comments]

Posted: 20 Apr 2020 07:23 AM PDT Not sure any crunch . So are there any exercises that maybe uses your abs as a stabilizer but not your obliques at all? Heard that chinups surprisingly cause abs to have some activity surprisingly https://www.t-nation.com/training/inside-the-muscles-best-ab-exercises " The WinnersBased on this experiment, here are the top three exercises in terms of mean and peak activity for each muscle part: Rectus AbdominisMean: Chin Up, Hanging Leg Raise, Ab Wheel" And chinup is not listed for the winning oblique exercises: https://www.t-nation.com/training/inside-the-muscles-best-ab-exercises which makes me think chinups might be fine for maintaining my ab size and then I can just drop my other ab exercises But then again almost every single ab exercise seems to use obliques as a synergistic: [link] [comments]
