Maintenance calories and different macro nutrients, what would be the output?

    Posted: 26 Mar 2020 09:32 AM PDT

Hello guys, this is my first post.

    Experts say:

    1. On deficit you will lose weight.
    2. On surplus you'll gain weight.
    3. On maintenance, you'll be at the same weight.

With this in mind it's assumed that everyone (not on deficit, or surplus) is on maintenance mode.

So, what would happen if you change ONLY your macros, for example, high-protein.

    1. Would you gain muscles? If you gain muscles, the theory that you need to be on surplus to build muscles is not true.
    2. Would you loss fat? If you loss fat, the theory that you need to be on deficit to lost weight is not true.
    3. Would you stay at the same body composition? So, the theory about macros (protein vs carbs vs fat) is not true.

And by the way, don't consider that you are a newbie.

Thank you so much in helping me understand this concepts.
