Anthony just took the overall in classic!

Anthony Mantello won the overall mens classic physique championship. Crazy Aesthetics.

Should Men's Physique be more like the WBFF Men's Fitness Model or Muscle Model categories ?

    Posted: 06 Jun 2021 08:07 AM PDT

Hey guys, everything is in the title. Following Mantello's win, I though I'd take a look on his insta, because I never really heard of the guy, and you know how instagram is, I ended on up Steve Cao's page.

This mf is wide as a house, and I was thinking he would look great in classic, with a little bit more mass. It's such a shame he only competes in Men's Physique, where he can't really display his physique with more poses. Furthermore, I can't stand these boardshorts anymore. Men's physique competitors actually do work their legs now anyway to avoid becoming memes, so why not just let them show them ?

Anyway it's just a thought, I wished Men's Physique transitioned to something more like WBFF posing trunks and style, with more posing variety.

Some people just do not want to become as big as it is required to be to compete in Classic (even less open or 212). It's a shame that a lot lighter/young bodybuilders but with great physiques nevertheless can't get a good chance at showing their efforts and displaying their physiques on stage because the only category in which they can actually get a decent placing is this literally ridiculous Men's Physique category.

    What category?

    Posted: 06 Jun 2021 01:31 AM PDT

So there are different divisions for different physiques, right. The GOAT Chris Bumstead is on top of the Arnold Classic, competitors like Julia Rene can do really well in Wellness, but is probably too quad dominant to do Bikini, etc. What category would someone like Monica Granda be able to compete in? She doesn't compete (as far as I know), but her type of physique is probably my favorite for a woman. Very superheroesque. (@monicaagranda on IG and Tiktok, for anyone who's unfamiliar).

Are there any good experiences from bikini competitions?

    Posted: 05 Jun 2021 03:20 PM PDT

I have recently started training for one and I was feeling hyped! Unfortunately everything I have read about them makes it seem like everyone was miserable the whole experience, and I've been getting a lot of pushback and judegement from people I tell, especially people at my current gym.

Has anyone fallen for the sport and genuinely enjoys it? Or any just positive experiences?
