Why do you compete in bikini competitions? Posted: 26 Nov 2020 09:00 PM PST Genuinely asking because I am new to weight lifting and follow some people on social media who compete in bikini competitions- and I really admire them, but I also can't help but wonder why? Especially given the restrictions- not even being able to drink water near competition time blew my mind. Is it to feel a sense of achievement- working hard towards a goal and then actually being the best in your cohort? Monetary gains-are there any? ( I didn't think there was prize money). Yeah, I'm really just curious. I guess this applies to most forms of bodybuilding, but as a woman I am specifically interested in my fellow ladies' point of view. [link] [comments] |
