Posted: 19 Nov 2020 12:12 PM PST Hey all. I'm 36/F, and morbidly obese. In quarantine I gained 20+ pounds and I'm only 5'4" and at 247 pounds. I'm so sad. I've tried keto, calorie counting, and now I'm just trying weight watchers. I've spent almost this entire year sitting down. I have small kids and I do dishes/laundry/sweeping and stuff like that but otherwise I'm sedentary. My blood pressure has skyrocketed too. :(. Anyway I am just feeling really down. I tried to do a 30 minute beginner cardio workout on YouTube and only made it 12 minutes. I've read that a minimum of 30min/day or 150min/week is needed to see any benefit. And I could only make it 12 minutes into a low impact cardio/stretch routine. I have a disabled spouse and 2 littles so it's very hard for me to get time away to take a walk during the day and I don't feel safe walking alone at night. I guess I just need some encouragement. This is really making me so sad, as before quarantine and covid me and the kids were always going somewhere and doing something. I hope this kind of post is allowed here! If not I'm sorry. Thanks everyone in advance. Wishing you all health and happiness. <3 [link] [comments] |

Posted: 19 Nov 2020 10:06 PM PST Hello. I'm 18/M living in India. Fairly thin and imperfect posture. I've never really been a regular gym attendee and I haven't been active in about 3 months now. What are the things teens can do to let go of sedentary lives dominated by online classes to a more efficient active day-to-day? The question might seem too generic to put up here, but I'm reaching out because most of the stuff online seems to be targeted towards proper adults OR people who are desperate to bulk up or shred or whatever. Posted: 19 Nov 2020 01:58 PM PST Hey everyone, Im a 6'2 20 year old male who weighs 175 pounds. I am a very skinny guy, not skinny to the point where you see my bones, but almost to that point. I want to add muscle mass and "fill out". I just got a gym membership and I'm not sure where to start when it comes to exercises and diets. I have a very high metabolism and I know I'm not eating the right things to I suppose help with these exercises too. Is there a website or app that could possibly generate a workout plan for me that is actually reliable? I am planning to go very often to the gym to get to this point and just need the guidance to put my energy into. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Nov 2020 08:00 AM PST Is it normal to feel absolutely exhausted after a workout? Like, take a nap tired? I remember when I'd work out in my teens I'd feel so energized afterwards that I literally couldn't work out in the evening or else I wouldn't be able to get to sleep. Now, in my late 20s, (after a few years of not working out) I work out an hour after breakfast (usually a short yoga video and then a 30 minute strength training video) and I feel like I want to crawl back into bed afterwards.
