Beginner Fitness: Exercise routine for a TOTAL beginner?

Beginner Fitness: Exercise routine for a TOTAL beginner?

Exercise routine for a TOTAL beginner?

    Posted: 06 Apr 2020 03:59 PM PDT

By total beginner I mean I am 18F, 5'8" and just about 8 stone (51kg). Very slim therefore never felt the need to workout, didn't even participate in PE in school. I have literally NEVER done a workout/any form of exercise. I'm extremely weak and have no stamina but have recently decided to start working out in order to improve strength and to tone up (no specific aim, just general fitness), however due to my lack of experience I can't even do the most basic exercises - I can't do a single sit up or push up. I'm struggling to find a beginner's workout that is easy enough for me. I was wondering if anyone could help me put together a total beginner's workout plan. My boyfriend has been trying to help and suggested inclined push ups as they're less intense and I've found that I can just about do a sit up if my feet are hooked under something like my bed - are there anymore "simplified" exercises like this? I should also point out that I am currently self isolating and have no gym equipment in my house so this may limit my options quite a bit. I also have no idea how much exercise I should be doing (how many push ups per rep, how many reps a day, how many days a week etc) I'm aware I should probably start very simple to not injure myself but I also want to make sure I do enough to start making progress.

Any help to put together a routine would be extremely appreciated :)

Cardio one day, then weights the other day

    Posted: 06 Apr 2020 07:01 PM PDT

Hello everyone, I am a 16-year-old male newbie. My goal is to lose some flab and gain some muscle.

I'm wondering if this routine of cardio one day (45 minutes, around 400 calories) and a weight workout the other with one rest day per week is beneficial.

Thank you for any advice and suggestions :)
