    I'm a 28 year old female. I'm slim, but weak and working on becoming stronger. I'm 3 weeks into my muscle building journey and I max out at 4, very good form, elbows-in press ups on my toes.

    Despite not being strong at all, I really to struggle to believe that I'm that far below the average when it comes to push up abilities. I'm thinking about all of my female friends and family and I really struggle to believe any of them could do even one press up.

    Am I missing something? Other beginners, what's your current max push ups with good form on your toes? I'm curious 🙂

    Edit: I notice that it says "Women have the option to do modified push-ups during the test". Push ups from your knees are a whole lot easier than toes, but I max out at 9 on my knees anyway.

    Looking for Tips

    I'm 18 years old, male. I recently started working out. I workout 5 days a week targeting different muscles groups everyday and end my workout with walking a mile at an incline and doing some core exercises. I'm 5'11 and about 230lbs. I'm going to the beach in July and would like to cut down to around 200-210 if it would be possible. I'm just looking for some tips as I've never worked out before. I've been considering drinking protein powder and eating high protein foods to increase my protein intake to match my body weight but I'm worried about gaining weight by doing so. Will I need to do more cardio if I am taking in 200g of protein a day?

    Dealing with extended muscle soreness and fatigue

    I've started working out harder than I have in years, and it's been around 2 months now. This entire time I've had so much muscle soreness and fatigue. In the beginning I expected it, and so I've been taking more time to rest and recover before pushing it again, but this entire time I haven't had a single day where I haven't been sore.

    It feels to me like it's too much soreness for the intensity of workouts I'm doing. I was initially working out more days for longer, but switched to 3 days a week at 30-45 minutes. But — I'm still so sore and fatigued! I would have thought after 2 months I would be getting used to it by now?! I also don't feel too bad at all during the workout, it's not until a day or so later that I'm like oh no what's going on here and I'm super sore. I also have been getting muscle cramps. My legs are definitely the worst as far as soreness and cramps but it's all over.

    I'm mainly using VR to workout, playing beat saber and supernatural. It definitely gets my heart racing and gets me sweating, but I feel I'm at a pretty damn low intensity still. It doesn't feel like I'm pushing all that hard, for the amount of delayed onset soreness and fatigue that I'm having. I don't get it! I just would have thought it would take a few weeks or a month tops for my body to get used to it?

    Is it possible I just need to eat more protein? I think I definitely could drink a bit more water too, but I don't drink so little that I would think it would do this? Anyone have any ideas? or even do I just need more time to adjust?

    I'm concentrating and drinking more water and adding in extra protein for now but if anyone has any other thoughts or ideas I am ready! Thanks!
