    Thoughts on RPE/RIR?

Rate of perceived exertion and reps in reserve. The approach where instead of doing all 12 reps or whatever amount of reps your 100% full effort gets you you leave up to 4 reps in reserve and get in more total volume not only throughout that session but in the long run as a whole. Maybe occasionally getting closer to failure after x amount of weeks, 8 for example. Do you consider this approach more effective for gaining muscle faster or do you favor a more traditional route of going very close to failure, to failure, or even beyond failure with half reps and lowering the weight without rest etc

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 12:30 AM PST

I'm (m 20) and 6'3 (1.90). I'm a bit insecure about my body... I was wondering what would be the ideal arm size with a similar height like mine? Thank you Regards :)
