Struggling to lose weight & a lack of willpower

    Hello!

I'm very new to Reddit and have been a long time reader but could really do with some advice if possible.

I am desperate to lose weight but always struggle to commit to anything as I feel I am getting nowhere or I put too much pressure on myself.

I'm currently 11.7 stone (164 pounds) and I want to get to 10.5 stone (147 pounds).

Does anyone have an idea of how I could shift this weight within a two month period? It's really starting to affect my mental health, to the point I don't want to go out or socialise as I'm so self conscious. A lot of my clothes don't fit and I stick to leggings and baggy jumpers which make it worse. I'm fairly short and the majority of my weight sits on my stomach and my thighs.

Can anyone recommend a workout plan/ meal plan that would help me achieve my goal?

At the minute I don't go to my local gym due to COVID fears but do have my own dumbbells at home. I feel too self conscious to attempt the couch to 5K (something I did start and then fail) outside. However I'm hoping I can achieve similar results with regular walks as my form of cardio?

Just really looking for some advice in terms of a workout plan and guidance because I'm so tired of looking in the mirror and hating what I see.

    Thank you.

    How much is to much

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 03:59 PM PDT

So recently I've tried getting back to working out. I've done body weight excercises, mostly squats and pushups, for about a month. Up to 100 to 125 a day. For getting back into it is that to much each day. Or do I need to admit to just being old lol

How much is said to be hitting the same to many days in a row now? Recommend rest? Would it be better to do every other or just vary the routine some

    Thanks in advance

Need some tips, how to gain muscle mass with an eating disorder

    Posted: 02 Oct 2020 10:44 AM PDT

So basically I'm recovering from an eating disorder and I'm forced to gain weight. I already have a flabby stomach to begin with, so I want to gain muscle mass instead of fat so I can look lean. What should I do? What are some exercises I can do? What should I be eating? I have no knowledge of building muscle and due to COVID I can't join a gym. I have 2 10lbs dumbbells at home, can I build muscle with those? Any ab exercises?
