    Advice on Assembling a Workout

    Posted: 29 Aug 2020 07:09 AM PDT

So I've been going to the gym on-off for three years and due to a few circumstances (Gyms Reopening/Some big final school exams are over) I've decided to overhaul my routine. I've stuck with full-body 3-times a week but since I haven't gone gym in weeks (planning to go tomorrow) I'm a bit at a loss as to how to approach this.

I feel this stigma against doing full-body workouts and I'm genuinely not sure if I should change to an upper-lower four times a week sorta thing or a push/pull/legs sorta thing. I'd like to go four times a week though.

Currently, the exercises I've been told are good are and would like to incorporate (whether over the course of an A/B routine or some other means) are:

    - Pushups
    - Mountain Climbers (30 Seconds/3 Sets)
    - Barbell Back Squat
    - Deadlift

    - Bench Press
    - Preacher Curls

    - One-Arm Dumbell Row
    - Body Weight Dips
    - Pullups
    - Body Weight Rows

I like a 10 Rep/3 Sets with most things, 1-2 min break, and progressive overload via increased weights.

    My main questions are:

    - Do these cover all the necessary muscles?

    - Am I missing any important exercises?

    - Are there any there that I don't need

    - Should I just start from scratch with something new?

I think I just want some guidance and a bit of validation so I can dive back into the gym and start building myself back up again.

    Thanks for any help.
