    so basically im starting kickboxing in a couple of days and im super nervous lmao.

    first of all, im not an athletic person at all (im like the definition of a couch potato), im starting this activity so that i can lose weight and all around try to improve how i feel about myself/be more active.

    in the second place, ive obviously checked out this place so that i could see what the gym(?/dojo(? is like, and even though i loved the instructor that talked to me and the place itself, i noticed that all the people in the class were a) older and b) male. its not that i hate this, but im a younger woman, so i immediately thought how humiliating and weird it would be for me, considering im a complete beginner.

    so yeah, i just wanted to ask if theres anything i need to know for this sport/martial art, and if i should be afraid haha, because i really wanna be good at this and it looks super fun, but im worried about the dynamic of the class (combined with my personal issues, such as having low self esteem) and how it will affect me. thx!
