Posted: 22 Apr 2021 08:26 PM PDT I've just had my 5th workout and I've been following a video on YouTube with a title similar to "20 minute workout before bed". I've tried it 5 times now and I am NO WHERE NEAR completing it like he does. He does 20 different exercises for 1 minute each and I can't get past 15 seconds for any of them. I understand fitness is a long term goal but I'm worried some of my choices that I will list below are effecting my progress, or maybe something else. First, I workout right before bed (I get done working out, shower, and hit the bed). Second, I have not changed my diet (it's nothing bad but certainly nothing great. Average meals twice a day, lunch and dinner). Third, I am a smoker (vape) and while I know for a fact that smoking is bad for a lot of things, I am wondering if quitting is the only way to meet my goals. Surely there are fit smokers, right? Any ideas or advice is appreciated. [link] [comments] |
How to tighten stomach/core(?) to hide weird lumpy flab after ovarian surgery Posted: 22 Apr 2021 09:09 AM PDT The surgery wasn't recent, it was about 8 years ago but it's only about 2 years ago that I dabbled with a tiny bit of excersize (back then mainly arms and back due to back issues). I used to have a fairly flat stomach. (the flat when standing up, but flabby when sitting type.) But after I had surgery in my abdomen/on my ovaries, there's like two individual "lumps" just sort of sitting on my stomach. They lign up with my ovaries and the (now old) incision they used. Are there any excerszies I can do to tighten these or something? :( Better yet, some excersizes I can do at home with little or no equipment. [link] [comments] |
Thanks, everyone, and I'm doing better already! Posted: 22 Apr 2021 11:11 AM PDT Sorry for venting at you all before, and thanks for the help. Since then, I've found a routine I can comfortably do and slowly increase, and I'm up to fifteen minutes moderate exercise (probably light for a lot of people, but moderate for my weight and a year spent barely moving) on six days a week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qz94HJYjdk&list=PL-aryIcpQlSfOr6r5Ri2bzqqElFzTN-nE I'm contacting a wellbeing service and making very small changes to my diet to prepare for bigger ones: I'm cutting my juice intake in half and drinking more water, and I switched from eating bread rolls with lunch to unsweetened oatmeal which has something like a twentieth of the sugar amount the rolls do (I was pretty surprised). I don't think I can maintain major "no junk food ever" changes without more direct support, but if I can do these, then it'll put me in a better spot to work on the big ones. [link] [comments] |
Training Plan to be like Makoto (Free!) Posted: 22 Apr 2021 01:09 AM PDT Makoto Tachibana (anime:Free!) is amazing. I wonder how average people like you and me can achieve his muscular physique, with or without swimming as part of training (gym are more accessible compared to swimming pools in some places). Not taking into account their age of course, because Makoto and gang are high school anime teens with godly muscles after all. I'm really impressed and in love with Makoto's muscle, though I'm not sure if there's any other dudes in the series with better body (haven't fully watched yet). Do you have any idea as to what kind of training plan they go through? Especially the gym ones. I'd prefer looks than the swimming potential. I'd like to try them for myself, though I'm a fat couch potato PS: I'm new to this anime, so I don't know much about the series yet. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
