Could a “damaged metabolism” explain this story.

October 2018 I weight in 230lbs (6'1 male). It took me around a year to get down to 185lbs.

I've been trying to get down to 176ish losing fat ever since then , the lowest I've gotten was 180lbs right before quarantine. The gyms closed and I was stuck at home with no job so even working out three times a week and lightly monitoring calories I packed the weight back on and went up to 195.

Long story short for about a year I have plateaued in my fat loss progress. The month of December I completely took a break from fitness and started back when I got in college. I have eaten 1800 STRICTLY for two and a half months and haven't lost a pound (192). I weight train three days a week full body workouts consisting of mostly compound lifting.( my gym has not been open in a week due to weather)

My diet consists almost completely of protein, in fact these past two months I've eaten a bigger portion of protein than I ever have in my life 130-150 grams a day. Chicken, fish, steak, eggs, whey protein shakes. Your typical vegetables, spinach asparagus etc. And for snacks I eat one or two peace's of fudge candy a family member makes (chocolate and peanuts) I must admit I have no idea how many calories are in these but these are the ONLY sources of sugar that go into my body. During these two months I've had a drink on two weekends

I've always gained weight easily, even when I managed to get down to 180lbs I was only eating 1200 calories a day which was not sustainable at all to say the least. Even if the chocolate I eat causes me to over eat slightly, every BMI calculated I've used tells me that I need to eat 21-2500 calories a day to sustain my weight and there's no way in hell I'm eating that many calories every single day.

I Intermittent fast, some days I'll eat two meals while still counting my calories but I usually eat one. What am I doing wrong? I understand that Carlos's is not linear but I'm weighing my self once a week and for 10 weeks no progress?? I've seen so many people thinner than me eating calories in the 2000s and saying there in a deficit?? HOW? I've tried eating 2100 calories a day in the past. No progress. The only thing I can come up with is going on a complete sugar fast. I'm honestly stumped
