    Can’t even do a dip

    I bought an at-home dip bar thing (paralette maybe?). Got all excited about adding dips to my new fitness routine. Feeling totally embarrassed & depressed b/c i can't even do one dip.

    Is this normal? I'm a female in her 30s. I never thought i was that weak. Just a couple weeks ago, I managed to move a whole futon by myself down about 13 stairs. I've moved a lot of furniture over the last few months, actually. Just feel discouraged I can't even do one single dip.

    which is better when working up to pull ups

    I currently have the goal for myself to be able to do pull ups, ive never been able to do one and its been a long term goal of mine.

    my question is this, which exercise is more effective as a stepping stone when working up to pull ups,

    an assisted pull up with a light resistance band (pulling up in a neutral grip) or an australian pull up?

    my gut says assisted but I'm not sure.

    Home PUSH Routine (For your Push Pull Leg splits)

    The Push Pull Legs split is one of the most commonly recommended ways to workout. And for a good reason. This helps you target specific muscle groups, continue training throughout the week without over training, and allows for a good balance of exercises.

    We had a request to create a push routine you can follow along with so here's a quick put powerful Push Routine for your Push Pull Legs Splits.

    Follow Along Home Push Routine

    You can do this with bands or dumbbells, at home or in the gym.

    We're breaking this into two rounds, each with seven exercises. The target is 16 reps to focus on general strength and tone. Remember to choose a weight or band that will be difficult by the 15/16th rep.

    Floor press

    Overhead Press

    Skull Crushers (db) / Tricep Kickbacks (db or bands)

    Renegade Rows (db) / Push Up Holds (no dbs)

    Flies

    Tricep Dips

    Angels and Devils

    Of course you will need either your dumbbells or bands. A mat and some water also helpful!

    This is especially true if you realize that the neck is just a portion of the spine. The spine is an incredibly long structure that has elements in the neck, mid back and lower back. Doing anything to a region of the spine down below is going to have repercussions on the levels above by virtue of the fact that it is one big interconnected chain. Engaging you core and strengthening the foundation is important as well with your breaths. The same can be said of the lumbar spine and pelvis.     280 5'8 I have started, but I am not sure if this is the best way for myself.

    Hey guys, I hope yall are doing great

    So im 280 pounds right now. I've started doing cardio every other day. I run on the treadmill for 20 minutes, I do about 20 minutes of yoga and I do exercises with my own body, push-ups, sits ups, high knees, those kinds of workouts. I am not dieting but I have reduced heavily the amount of food I eat, replaced my breakfast with vegetable shakes and have very small dinners.

    I want to life weights but wouldn't know where to start. I do have a bug gut, not gigantic but big, and lean muscles. I've been told if I lift i will get swollen and that is not what im trying to aim for. Im aiming for lean and toned.

    Should I change something up? I want to exercise at lose weight at 100%.
