Preferring a bro split over PPL?

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 04:26 AM PST

Hey guys, I've been training for about 6 years now. The past 5 of those years I've gone to the gym 5-6 days a week so I'm very consistent. I had always done bro splits for my training until I recently switch to PPL after reading all of the benefits back in November 2020. At this point, I feel like I'm trying to fit too many muscle groups in a session. For example, i always hit the heavy compound lifts first, and by the end of the workout when i supposed to hit the smaller muscle groups, i don't have much gas left in the tank and i know I'm not hitting them as hard as a bro split would. I workout from 6-7am before work so I don't really have time to go longer, I suppose I could wake up earlier but don't really want to. I get the hate for bro splits being low frequency, but I felt like it gave me more time to focus on a specific muscle to exhaustion rather than trying to fit so many exercises in with a PPL routine. What would be better, me being able to train more frequently on a PPL, or me being able to have lots of intensity on a bro split? Any thoughts would be appreciated
