Daily Simple Questions Thread - December 10, 2020

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 02:04 AM PST

Welcome to the /r/Fitness Daily Simple Questions Thread - Our daily thread to ask about all things fitness. Post your questions here related to your diet and nutrition or your training routine and exercises. Anyone can post a question and the community as a whole is invited and encouraged to provide an answer.

As always, be sure to read the wiki first. Like, all of it.

Also, there's a handy-dandy search bar to your right, and if you didn't know, you can also use Google to search fittit by using the limiter "site:reddit.com/r/fitness" after your search topic.

Other good resources to search are Exrx.net for exercise-related topics and Examine.com for nutrition and supplement science.

Be aware that the more relevant information you add, the more relevant the answers you receive will be. And if you are posting about your routine, please make sure you follow the guidelines.

(Please note: This is not a place for general small talk or chit-chat. Also, the community decided long ago that we keep jokes, trolling, and memes outside of the Daily Q&A threads. Please use the downvote / report button when necessary.)

Can I expect to go up a size if I start lifting and being in shape overall?

    Posted: 09 Dec 2020 10:02 PM PST

I am currently 6ft 145 lbs. I am a Medium USA Mens. If I start lifting and getting in shape in general, will I go up a size? That is my goal.

Calorie restriction and lifting..not losing weight?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 04:35 AM PST

I am female 134 lbs who "should be" at 126 lbs. I've been lifting daily and restricting calories, no junk food, no sugar, no alcohol for almost 3 weeks and haven't lost a pound. I do notice my body getting fitter. And I think I may be losing a little in terms of inches (one of my jeans fits better, not so tight)

    Why am I not losing?

Would I still get the benefits if I just wash them all down with a mug of coconut milk or would I ruin my stomach?

A spoon of tri-color quinoa, flax and chia seeds, amaranth, raw cocoa powder and powder protein hemp. It has 41.9 g of protein.

When they're done with oats which are cooked in like 10 minutes, they don't seem too cooked anyway.

I'd like to make it a habit like people have with supplements and in like 10 minutes a day they prepare it and are out the door.

19M, 5:30 mile time. Injured foot, and rowing machine doesn't feel like cardio.

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 03:06 AM PST

Hello, I seem to have plantar Fascitis, and I need to maintain my cardio as a soccer player for the next 2 months or so. However, the gym bicycles are extremely uncomfortable, and I tried the rowing machine, for 20 minutes at the a pretty decent level, 14/20 available levels, and it just didn't get my heart rate up. I already Deadlift and pull up, I don't need the back strength building, just the cardio. Any tips?

Would doing a 5x5 lifting day followed by an insanity workout be too much ?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 02:12 AM PST

I'm a newbie to the gym and want to start lifting but I also like the cardio from insanity .

Days would look like , lift-insanity-rest-life-insanity-rest . Does the insanity after the lifting throw off anything ?
