Who was the bodybuilder that inspired you to set foot in the gym?

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 09:06 AM PDT

This man may be mocked now, but for me it was Zyzz. I can't believe it's almost been 10 years since he died and he was only 22 years old. I was a few years younger than him when I stumbled onto his YouTube videos. I started at around 145 pounds and today am sitting at around 190 pounds, still have a 32 inch waist, and I've been lifting pretty consistently for the last decade or so. But it all started with ol' Zyzz.

He made it seem achievable as he went from skinny to swole and documented his journey. As opposed to other bodybuilders who became famous after they had already attained incredible physiques.

What would you consider more impressive; a 600lbs deadlift OR 300lbs strict overhead press?
