How do I properly activate the core? Posted: 21 Oct 2020 03:44 AM PDT So I read an article on t nation by Paul chek that explain activating the TVA by pulling in the bellybutton. I'm confused by this. Especially because he said to do it during deads and squats and I can't understand how you'd breath that way. So is there a difference between activating the core and activating the abs? Like when you crunch you flex the abs, but if I'm doing, say, a plank should I be doing a stomach vacuum and pulling in? Should I be sucking in for everything including crunches? Or should you do each one for different things? I'm so confused so any help is appreciated. Thanks guys. [link] [comments] |
