    Beginner work out tips

    Posted: 01 Aug 2020 09:08 PM PDT

Hello everyone! I've recently started skipping in the hopes to get fitter as I haven't worked out properly in years.

I have flat feet and wear orthotics. Whenever I walk/run/skip as a form of exercise the bottom of my feet will start to burn from pain. I've also found from skipping that the front of my calves have started hurting.

I assume it would be the muscles causing the pain in my feet and calves. Wondering if there's any exercise and stretches recommended to help with this? Thanks everyone!!

Now, I'm really excited because I'll be sharing something with you that has made my life and my patients so much easier. I call it Core Strength Engagement conjunction with Breathwork and Extremities Flexibility. So let me walk you through exactly how it works and how you can start using it today to Regain life without back pain a lot easier and faster.

How do you engage your core muscles? I have experienced and treated patients who ran, lifted heavy weights, did activities and always ended up with back pain, do you know why?

They don't know how to properly engage their core muscles. And did you know what are the 5 major muscles groups that house the core, the powerhouse of our body?

It is not the 6 pack that you will see , actually that is one of the abdominal muscles that are superficial and not part of the core.

You could have a six pack with diastasis recti or umbilical hernia that happens due to heavy lifting without the proper breathwork. Injuries happen in the gym due to poor mind body awareness.

What is Breathwork,= with core engagement, it is a proper breathing mechanism that helps engage your diaphragm so take deep breath through your nose, abdominal bracing, tighten your abdominal muscles, while slowly breathing out through your mouth while still engaging and imagining not to pee to engage your bladder, all at the same time keeping your spine in neutral, one hand at the small of your back and one hand on your stomach to feel the tightening of your muscles..

    And what is Extremities Flexibility,

I will show proper dynamic, static and functional flexibility on your shoulders and hips , the extremities closest to our spine that are integral to help decrease the pressure on your back, Just imagine the tightness of your shoulders, and hips, if they are tight, it pushes and pulls pressure on our spine in different directions, and because of back pain, most people don't know how to start the proper stretching techniques in a dynamic, static, and functional patterns, evidence based practices proven to help flexibility.
