    Wrist pain durinh pullups

    Posted: 27 Mar 2020 08:17 AM PDT

Hey guys, so I have been going to the gym for a couple of months and built some decent strenght, and now that its corona times I only do calisthenics at home.

Whenever I do pullups I get this wierd stabbing pain in my left wrist just below the thumb on the inside of my wrist. The getting stabbed feeling/getting pinched always comes when Im at the top of my pullup.

I am keeping my wrists straight towards the ground, not bending them at all, Ive tried both thumb around bar and thumbless grip, Ive tried pullups using rings too, the pain still occurs, although it doesnt do it every repetition. Whenever Im doing chin ups it hurts way less most of the time.

I am right handed so mabye this has to do with my left wrist being too weak for the load or something like that?

Do you guys have any tips/ideas I can try?

I am currently able to do 9-10 pullups in a row. Also training on front lever, handstand and planche.
