I got myself into this mess....

    Posted: 05 Apr 2021 03:56 PM PDT

I had my annual physical today, blood sugar was borderline diabetic. According results coming soon....my doctor wants to treat me without medication. I live a generally unhealthy lifestyle. I guess that changes today. Today I went for a 20 minute walk, I felt winded and gross, but its better than being dead...stay tuned for more to come!

How do you decide... what to do?

    Posted: 04 Apr 2021 11:51 PM PDT

Whether you're at home or at the gym how do you, like, decide what exercises to do and/or what order? Do you set up a consistent regime per day? In my particular position trying to do some working out at home I look up exercises and see a million videos and articles saying "heres 10 home exercises!" or "heres a dozen bodyweight exercises for home!" but like... how do I pick which ones lol

Edit: Thanks for all the responses. Seems like the best for me would be to follow along with established programs

Your tight muscles don't need to be stretched.

Stretching tight muscles feels good but as far as getting lasting relief from tension and tightness that's about as far as stretching will take you.

If your stretching and not seeing lasting relief (as in you don't have to stretch anymore) check out these 2 better strategies to addressing tight muscles.

Just now realizing how out of shape I am

    Posted: 29 Mar 2021 03:06 PM PDT

Played 2 sports my whole life up until about 3 years ago. Today was my first day of truly trying to get back into shape. I'm focusing mainly on cardio until I can get back to the gym in May/June.

Started with just trying to do 15 minutes of jump rope and wow it kicked my ass. I feel like I'm gonna cough up my lungs. Just gotta get back after it tomorrow I guess!

Is training 6 times a week to hard on CNS?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2021 07:18 AM PDT

I'm not really beginner amd training 6x week is definitely not good for beginners, but it is kinda beginner question. I'm training 3x week Upper Lower and then I usually had 3x week Martial Arts trainings to it, which can be taken as a HIIT cardio and help with the regeneration. However friend told me that, training 6x week is hard on CNS so I lowered do 2 Martial Arts days and sometimes I do Calisthenics skills instead of 1 MA day, so I basically have just 1 MA day and kick training as a warm-up on my Leg Days. My question is, if it's true or if I should be fine with 6x week training?
