I've been working out on and off but I always get lazy and can't stick to it. Tomorrow I decided to start a consistent routine. Problem is I don't know where to start. I'm underweight but I still look chubby and have a double chin. I want to get to a healthy weight by gaining muscle and toning up my body. I have no idea what to eat (I'm vegetarian btw) and I don't have access to a gym. However, I do have dumbbells.

Our abdominal or ab muscles play a vital role in how you move your body and hold your posture. Ab strength has a direct effect on your posture, movement, and mobility. Your abs are always working – when you stand up, walk, sit, lift an object, or even breathe. I know these are kind of connected to the belly fat itself, and reducing the belly fat automatically reduces them but I feel like they're still a lot fatter or bigger than the belly, should I be working out tbat area too or its suppose to take longer to lose than belly fat? And if so, what type if workout can I do?

Home Leg CRUSHER Workout (Bands or Dumbbells)

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 08:28 AM PST

    Hey beginnerfitness crew!

Got a home leg workout for you today that still has our legs burning two days later. Torch your legs at home with dumbbells or bands.

    Follow Along here

We're splitting today into five exercises, two rounds. Each exercise will be 16 reps so make sure you are targeting a weight or band to the appropriate rep range. That means by rep 15/16, you should be struggling to finish the set. If you get to 16 and you feel like you can knock out more, bump up the weight or move eccentricly.

With these exercises we're hitting the glutes, quads, hamstrings, and low back. You will feel this in the morning.

You will need: bands or dumbbells, and a box/bench/chair/couch to put your foot on

Here's the exercises: (Remember 16 reps each)

    Goblet Squats

    Reverse Lunge (Left and Right)

    Sumo Squat

    Split Squat (Left and Right)

    Deadlift

Make sure you subscribe for more great workouts in the future! Let me know if you have any questions or specific needs you would like us to create a workout or plan for.

Don't Eat Now Because You Can't Eat Later

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 11:29 AM PST

Never engage in preventive eating, which is the habit of eating when you have time to - even if you're not hungry - because you don't think you'll have time to eat later. One of the unhealthiest things we can do, which contributes the most to weight gain, is eating when we're not physically hungry.

If you eat when you're not hungry, most of the calories you consume at that time will be stored as fat. If you repeatedly find yourself in a situation where you have time to eat, but you're not hungry - but you eat anyway because you know you'll be hungry later, when you have no time to eat - keep fruit or nuts with you. Snack on them when you get hungry - not before!

Keep in mind, though, even if you are hungry and you can't eat for a few more hours, it's not the end of the world if you don't eat. Remember, hunger is not an emergency; as a matter of fact, it is a great thing. Look at staying hungry as giving your body the opportunity to use up the stored energy that it has. (Your fat). The notion that your body will go into starvation mode if you don't eat as soon as you are hungry is entirely false. You have to go for days without eating before your body goes into starvation mode.
